Turkish club, Buraspor is back with a bang

Football in Europe is taken as God’s own game. European league is the world famous football tournament that binds the world together if they support the same team and also provides with clashes of opinions if they support rival teams.
The way the Turkish club Buraspor came back with a bang after beating FC Twente 3-1 in UEFA Europa League first leg play-off match which was held on Thursday has left the coach Ertugrul Saglam and everyone else awestruck.
Every now and then he tried to emphasise on the sole target of moving towards the Europa League group stage and when quizzed about what encouraging words the coach had to say just before the match, he replied, “I always made it very clear that Thursday’s opponents might be difficult but possible to eliminate.”
When NacerChadli scored the first goal of the Dutch club in the European league match, it had a demoralising effect on Buraspor but as the coach says, they never went off the game. Saglam stressed on the fact that his players gave their 100% and the result was seen in the first half itself. Pablo Batalla made the first effort on the 40 minutes to bring the game to a 1-1. The impact of the goal left the pendulum swinging.
In the second half the only target set to Twente was to prevent the world number 10, Pablo from scoring any further. But it was in this half that the Turkish club made the game 3-1 never giving their opponent a chance to score and thus making the game all the more exciting for their own Saglam. This made Saglam confess, “The second half was far more superior to the first.”
But he firmly believes that the second leg in Enschede is a different and difficult match itself and preparation for the group stage at this moment will lead nowhere.“Our first win deserves a celebration” is what he said and that they have plenty of time to plan for the next Thursday’s match against Twente. Also that concentrating on the next match of the European league to be held on Sunday against Istanbul BB is the best thing to do now.
But having an advantage in the first match always helps to encourage the players of Buraspor and in some cases might even help to give a bit of inferiority complex to the opponents. And remembering the golden words that it is always the hard work that pays off.
