Atletico Madrid’s 4-2 triumph over Valencia

A firm grip of the semi finals of Europe league was taken by Atletico Madrid against Valencia. The home side was put in front by Radamel Falcao before tapping in by Jonas when he headed in and equalized against the play’s run. Miranda header was responded by Atletico just before the shot angled by Adrian Lopez had added to the lead of the hosts.
A super eighteen-yard strike was given by Falcao which added to Atletico’s fourth but at the same time, Valencia was given a second away goal by the late header of Ricardo Costa. The fifth minute was the time when the goal from Costa came in and the Atletico team could easily beat the Valencia. The league meetings of the season had ended with the Valencia winning with 1-0. As the place’s incentive in the final of Europe league, an added twist was given in the game when the Atletico knocked out the Valencia, that too in a very controversial aspect, two years ago at the stage of last-eight. Alba had taken Arda Turan behind and the centre back of Valencia, Adil Rami, tried in shielding the ball out from the play. But it was all in vain as the midfielder of Atletico managed and delivered a cross through Falcao was seen to nod in. A moment arrived when Atletico was all in all just before Valencia had a goal that was almost snatched against the play’s run when Rami was seen to head wide from a corner.
Valencia, looking out of sorts, made the Atletico’s pay when the Atletico did not successfully turn their domination more than a lead of 1-0. At this stage, the striker of the Atletico Madrid, named Radamel Falcao, speaks his heart out saying, “Winning convincingly was more important for us. An added advantage to it was the tie and that the victory was absolutely ours”. This makes us feel that the job was done really well.” At the same time, the Valencia striker named Robert Soldado commented, “The late goal gave us a chance to improve ourselves and make a comeback in fresh manner.”
